Prilla is very active, balanced and social bitch. She has a phenomenal on-off switch. She is ready to work with full speed in milliseconds and is as fast to relax when it is time to do so. Prilla is training agility, reporting, tracking and some obedience. In agility she is fast, focused and learns fast. In reorting she is calmly waiting her own turn to run and is running very fast and quietly. In tracking she is just natural worker.
Kaya lives to work. There is nothing better in the world than agility or herding. He never quits working and when you take him for training there is nothing that can distract him. He is a dog with a good on/off switch, you'll barely notice him when you're at home. Only of course for the occasional cuddle. But if it's time for some action, he will be there for you!
Kaya is the perfect dog for Laura she says. He has the drive, intelligence and attitude that she was looking for. Perfect to spend a lot of training hours together! You can find Kaya and Laura on the agility- or herding training field weekly.
Kaya can do it all: herding sheep, ducks and cattle, agility, obedience, whatever you tell him to do, he will do it, like it and probably be good at it. Besides that he is a very easy dog: he has the typical "offswitch" and nothing in the world will bother him in that moment. He is never impressed by anything and is very relaxed. Untill... It's time for action. People who know him from sports cannot believe he is so calm at home and the other way around, people who know him like he is at home can barely believe he is such a driven dog in training. Kaya has little guardian instinct.
Laura and Kaya are herding at least once a week. They have trained with several trainers who all have learned them something. Their goal is to be able to herd sheep in a calm and controlled way. In 2013 Kaya obtained all open stock titles.
Kaya trains agility once a week. Laura and Kaya started running some competitions for Cynophilia (FCI) and in 2013 they obtained their third "U-tje" (you recieve an U-tje after a clean run) and moved up to grade 2. Every now and then they compete at an ASCA match. So far Kaya obtained the JS-E and GS-E title.
